Of the Great Spirit

I believe everyone

Has inward beauty

We’re all born

With this beauty

A Light

Meant to shine

Unfortunately

For a lot of us

That beauty was hidden

Put down

Beat down

Used

Used for artificial gain

Prostituted and lied too

Words were formed

Of not being enough

Not being pretty enough

Handsome enough

Thin enough

Athletic enough

Putting down

Of our being

Universal Love

The Great Spirit

Lives for beauty

Flourishing with beauty

Look in a mirror

Your reflection back

Shines a beauty

Living within

Look deeply

See and believe

That reflective beauty

Is YOU
