The energy field

Drawing me open

My essence

On red alert

Sensating

The welcoming

Wave

Of intertwined

Connection

The mountainside

Luxurious green

The early rains

Bringing forth

Spectacularness

Large rock families

Spiking the horizon

Banding together

In ruggedness

They stand

Erect and strong

Guardians of

Their surroundings

Self-protecting

Spikes sharpened

Awaiting any

Attack from

Human or animal

Alike

Slowly growing

In the

Dry and barrenness

Desert hills

Inches creeping

Upwards

Some of these

Warriors

Two hundred+

Years old

Totems

Large and small

Nourishing those

Around them

With their sap

Through drops

Of moisture

In the air

Their energy

Bouncing from

One to the other

I stand

Their energy

Jolting

Inviting freshness

Into my

Malnourished soul

Thankful

For their

Resonate strength
