I took this photo last week on a hike up into the Colorado mountains. I have a hidden trail that I’ve walked upon many times. This day I witnessed a momma Elk and her very young baby. I saw streams bubbling down the mountain. Flowers galore wherever I looked. But, nothing compared to the beauty I saw in these flowers! I’m enamored with the Paintbrush flowers growing here in Colorado. Especially the purple ones. I picked these by a fast-moving stream and carried them down with me. When I saw this log across another stream I knew how good they would look there. This is one of my favorite photos I have ever taken! Hope you enjoy…
