Through the Circle

This picture was taken in Ghent, Belgium in early October 2019. It is of the Castle of the Counts which was originally built in 1180 and was restored in 1893. I had a glorious day feeling the energy of this city and the castle walls built in the midst of it!
I was hiking about an hour west of Fort Collins, CO. I ran across this beauty and it stopped me in my tracks. The combination of this tree on the gray background was incredible. I find such strength in these old dying, or dead trees. Even in death they stand erect with confidence!

Taken in summer of 2017 climbing a mountain outside of Silverthorne, CO. This was from a hiking trip with my boys. A summer shot when the mountain streams get smaller and seem to have more built-up drag on them. Fascinating to see the coated in this slime!
