Daddy Called Her Heaven

Their brown eyes

Met

That split second

Is all it took

Realizing he would

Love and protect

This little one

For her eternity

He instantly knew

He would…

Walk over flaming coals

Swim an icy ocean

Step in front of a speeding bullet

Climb the tallest mountain

And walk way

From his job

Heaven would know

No matter what

His love would never go away

It would never change

It would always be there

During the darkest nights

On the brightest days

Little Heaven

Would somehow know

These truths

As she prematurely

Headed up to heaven

Awaiting this daddy love

To join her

And continue

The course

That had been set

On this day
