Self Portrait

This was the first picture I took with my Nikon in 2017. It was taken in the Winter of 2017. After I shot it, I met with my good friend Lex and she was the one who said it looked like me! Spikey hair and arms that wrap around all those I meet in love and kindness. What a gift her words were, and what a gift photography has become for me.

I love the whole process of taking photos. From thinking about where I want to go to take them to walking when I’m taking them. I love looking all directions with the hope of finding a shot that truly speaks to me, and finding truly unique pieces to photograph. I had a photography teacher tell me that the key to great pictures is not what you are using to shoot them. Rather, the eye it takes, and sometimes patience required, to get a great shot. For this reason, I use whatever is available to get my shots. I try to keep my shots as raw as possible. My hope is that they uniquely speak to you and are an encouragement upon your journey! Prints are available upon request. Inquire here about cost.
