Why I Write

I have been writing for most of my adult life. Words started to flow right out of high school, while I was working my first few jobs. But it’s only in the last three years, starting in 2016, that I started writing on an almost daily basis.

Writing is the most centering thing I do in my life. It keeps me sane, even helping me through some of my darkest days. I credit writing for helping to awaken the inner revolution that’s taken place in my life.

Much to my surprise I continue to go back to poetry over and over again as a way to express the wide range of emotions that I feel. I have recently started writing short stories and am enjoying this new adventure.

I hope my words ring true within your journey. If they speak to you, please let me know what they had to say. I enjoy feedback and questions so don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I respond to every email I receive.

Keep your head up, your heart available, your ears listening, your eyes on the present moment, and your essence unlocked to what the Universe is trying to say to you!

The attached picture was taken in summer of 2018 in Boulder, Colorado. The Porch, as I’ve titled it was one of my favorite pictures ever taken. I wanted to walk up and sit on that porch! I see places like this and it makes the words that live within me freely flow.  There is a tremendous amount of joyous emotions and laughter that have taken place there. This place, and photo has powerful energy and the site of the white roller skates made me laugh at loud.
