Locked in Love
This was taken December of 2018 in Little Rock, AR. I was with my good friend John Kriz as we walked around the downtown area. These locks stuck out to me because it was an entire family!
On the Trail: STEPPING OUT OF YOUR CIRCLE
What circle, or circles, have you lived in? Are you aware that we often live within the same route in life doing the same things, making the same choices, over and over again? When do we step beyond this and experience the “newness” that comes with the risk of trying another way? My role is…

I love that you left pussy on there ..: there is a phenomenal book called Pussy: A Reclamation by Regena Thomashauer that invites us to reclaim the word … to see it’s beauty and honor it as women especially… whore doesn’t bother me though … it used to but it can also be an archetype… a playful, seductive side of the feminine archetype that is more raw, wild, sexual for her partner … but never as a derogatory put down … words have the meaning we give them ….
And I love that you are spending time removing or covering up words you feel may dishonor others ..: that is truly beautiful
Angela, thank you for your note! I’ve always been aware of “words” and how they can be used to uplift or tear down. Therefore, it comes pretty natural to take action when words like whore pop out to me. I appreciate your take on “pussy”. I see it as one of those words that has often been used to tear down men, and as being derogatory towards a woman. BUT, I don’t think it has to be that way. When people are together, sexual partners, they choose what words to use. I think this word can be wild and fun. I find it to be very important for couples to discuss “words” early on. Especially with trauma triggers. For instance, there are words for the penis that have been used in my past that caused a tremendous amount of pain. Teasing, and bullying around certain ways I looked. I have an abundance of joy for you as you have, and are, doing a lot of self-discovery in these important areas! Namaste, RLove
